DIARY 2026


Friday 15th May - 5pm The Museum of the Broads 

This trip is open to all but will be completely FREE for members & will include a boat ride & picnic. Starting at 5 pm, we kindly ask that you bring a plate of food to share if you can please. 
To help us confirm the number of participants for the boat trip, please would you sign up if you are interested.

If you would like a lift, please let us know. We will try to organise car sharing to help wherever possible.

Non-members are also very welcome, with the boat trip costing £7.00 per person. Payment will be due before the end of April

Sunday, June 14th2pm
- Private group visit

Old Manor Farmhouse Gardens at Swanton Abbott

We look forward to a private visit with the owners.
An award-winning garden that has been shortlisted as one of the nation's favourite gardens. The garden features a knot garden of box hedges surrounded by trees and yew hedges.
Herbaceous borders and lawns complement the space, along with a clematis and rose walk and a spiral wildflower meadow.

Members and non-members are welcome.
£10 per person including afternoon tea.

Payment will be required before the end of May 2026

If you would like a lift, please let us know. We will organise car sharing to help where possible.

Friday 19th June - 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start

"How to attract Birds to your Garden" - Neil Spinks

With advice on food and feeds, and feeders, including siting, protection, and hygiene. Siting and care for nesting boxes.


Friday 17th July - 5pm start

  "An evening at East Ruston Old Vicarage" 

We have an exciting evening planned at East Ruston Old Vicarage, where we will have the privilege of enjoying the gardens exclusively. 
The event will start at 5pm, & light refreshments will be provided. 

Entry FREE for members. Non-members will be charged £5 person. 

Please kindly add your name to the list so we can get an accurate count of attendees. Payment for non-members will be due at the end of June.

 Sunday July 19th –  Promotion & plant sales stall 

                "Artisan Fair, Stalham High Street"

We would be very grateful for any plant donations to sell at this event. Please keep this in mind when you are sowing seeds & propagating your plants. Thank you!

"East Ruston Old Vicarage Plant Fair in the gardens"

We have accepted Alan Gray's invitation to set up our usual stall. Alan is hosting a "Nurseries in the Garden" event this year, with stalls throughout the garden. 


We would be very grateful for any plant donations to sell at this event. Please keep this in mind when you are sowing seeds & propagating your plants. Thank you!

Sunday 16th August 2pm  - Private group visit


Sonja Gaffers Tropical Gardens at Hellesdon


This will be an exclusive personal tour of an inspiring garden featuring a fascinating mix of exotic & tropical plants. Sonja will be available to answer questions & will also provide tea & cakes.
For those who haven't visited before, Sonja's garden is a hidden gem, & her cakes are amazing! 

Car parking is available on the road outside. If you would like a lift, please let us know. We will organise car sharing to help where possible.


The cost for the visit is £10 for members, including Tea and cakes & £15 for non-members. 


Please sign up and make your payment by the end of July so we can confirm the number of attendees.

Join us as Tony returns to share more about the fascinating world of fungi. This event will precede an organised private group foraging foray scheduled for October 2026
